Wombat Forest Vineyard and Winery is an award-winning boutique producer and cellar door, recognised by the Australian Good Food Guide Regional Reader’s Choice Award for the most popular vineyard and winery in the region for two consecutive years.

Nestled on the edge of the Wombat State Forest, just fifteen minutes from Daylesford and the Macedon Ranges, the cellar door and courtyard offer sweeping forest views. Guests are invited to slow down and savour handcrafted wines that reflect the character of this unique setting.

What’s On

There’s always something happening at Wombat Forest Winery. From live music to seasonal celebrations, our events capture the relaxed charm and vibrant community spirit of the vineyard.

Music Amongst the Barrels: Settle in for an afternoon of live music, local wine, and good company. Enjoy a glass of Pinot by the fire or a chilled Rosé on the deck as local musicians fill the barrel room and courtyard with laid-back tunes. Perfect for long weekends and lazy Sundays.

Summertime Fling: Every January, we join with our local wineries for a month- long celebration of fine wine, fabulous food, live entertainment and family fun.

Forage and Feast: A Taste of Summer in the Central Highlands This festival runs from mid January to mid February and celebrates the depth of the food and wine culture across the Victorian Central Highlands. Explore new flavours, be entertained by local musicians, sample our boutique wines and celebrate Summer at picturesque venue.

Macedon Ranges Autumn Festival: Throughout the month of April we celebrate the harvesting of our grapes and the magic of the changing seasons. Enjoy live music, fabulous food, and a tempting cocktail on the deck when you follow the Tipple Trail to our door. With vibrant autumn colours all around and something for everyone to enjoy, it’s the perfect time to relax, sip, and savour the beauty of Autumn in the forest.

Winter Warmers: Winter is our favourite time of the year at Wombat Forest Vineyard. Boutique wines, seated tastings, meet the wine maker, mulled wine, tempting seasonal platters, cosy wood fires, majestic views and photographic opportunities, extensive decking and intimate settings nestled in the forest canopy, live music on selected days, knowledgeable staff, throw rugs and board games to linger longer at our all weather venue.
