The vines are waking up, which means … it must finally be time for Budburst!

The quintessential Macedon Ranges wine-tasting experience is back! Expect exceptional wine, food, ambience and springtime joie-de-vivre.

Budburst is a once-a-year opportunity to step behind the vines and meet our warm-as-toast winemakers. Over a glass, and amidst a backdrop of lush vineyard rows, volcanic rocks and ancient plateaus, you’ll get a sense of how our family-owned and small-batch makers shape mainland Australia’s coolest wine region.

The Friday evening will see local venues showcase Macedon Ranges wine alongside other great produce of the region bringing together what they believe to be the best of the Macedon Ranges.  

Across the weekend, more than 25 Macedon Ranges winemakers, across 18 budburst sites, will open their wineries and cellar doors so you can enjoy wine tastings, curated food menus championing local produce, art shows, sculptor walks and live music.

Travel independently around Macedon Ranges’ winding country roads and picturesque mountain ranges or aboard one of Budburst buses and visit up to five wineries on four dedicated bus routes. If you are looking for something unique and special, Budburst Festival has also partnered with some of the leading wine tour companies in Victoria to offer bespoke tours.

So, why not travel the winding country roads, venture behind the vines and lush box hedges, and immerse yourself in the picturesque mountain ranges that are the hallmark of our region?
